Harrison Bay Eagle Cam Project
Nest Tours 2016
We are happy to once again this year provide guided tours near the Harrison Bay Eagle Cam nest tree.
Due to the sensitive nature of the nesting Bald Eagles and to be in compliance with federal regulations public access to the nest tree area is only available during these guided tours, unless you are a paid golfing customer of The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. Our main objective is to protect the eagles while also providing the general public with a unique opportunity to view one of nature’s most majestic creatures in it’s natural habitat.
Please DO NOT come to the golf course expecting to be allowed to go view the eagles unless on Tuesday morning. You will not be allowed to go to the nest and you will only be disappointed.
The tours will be conducted on Tuesday mornings (starting March 22, 2016) between 7:00 AM and @9:00 AM ONLY.
If you are interested in bringing a large group, such as a grade school class or grade, to view the nest please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate your request.
Persons interested in participating in the nest tours are welcome to arrive shortly before 7:00 AM and park in the Bear Trace golf course maintenance parking lot which is located directly across from the entrance to Morning Glory Farms subdivision on Harrison Bay Road. Address for GPS that will get you near the maintenance building is 8919 Harrison Bay Road, Harrison, TN 37341.
All are welcome. There is a short distance of about 50 yards to walk to get to the viewing area for those concerned.
The Harrison Bay Eagle Cam Project operates on donations alone. If you like the new camera, you can thank our donors. Would you help continue our project? Maybe we can place a second camera in the tree to get a different view of the nest, it is all up to you and your donations. Please consider donating to our project to keep it flying high. No donation is too small or too big.
